Symptoms of worms in humans

Symptoms of parasites in the human body

A modern person, even in everyday life, can encounter more than 300 diseases caused by worms, and the total prevalence of parasitic infections worldwide exceeds 75%.Even if we comply with the rules of household hygiene and avoid obvious dangers - raw meat and eggs, water from unverified sources - we can still become infected with helminths.Once in the body, they quickly multiply, releasing toxic waste, affecting the intestines and often the liver, muscles, lungs and other organs.

Helminths are dangerous because they "weaken" the function of the immune system and other systems, absorb micro and macro elements important for humans and inhibit the intestinal flora.The body becomes very susceptible to infection, inflammation, and chronic diseases become more and more severe.Therefore, you need to fight helminth invasion as soon as you suspect it.

There can be different forms of helminths in the human body and their signs (symptoms) also vary.Usually the body is affected by:

  • Nematodes related to roundworms are pinworms, roundworms, trichinella, whipworms... causing intestinal worm disease;
  • Flat (tape) cestode worms - echinococcus, various types of tapeworms;
  • Trematodes are very dangerous flukes, their waste is very toxic (like roundworms), and they themselves cause schistosomiasis, opisthorchiasis and other serious diseases that chemical drugs cannot always cope with.

The first two groups of worms mainly cause intestinal diseases, the third group can cause extra-intestinal diseases.For example, opisthorchiasis is caused by flukes that live in the bile duct.Therefore, diseases caused by helminths manifest with extremely wide symptoms.

Main symptoms of helminth infection

Penetrating into the body, helminths multiply and their different forms are simultaneously present in the body - cysts, larvae, adults.Pharmaceutical drugs act on them selectively and do not give a comprehensive effect.Therefore, the earlier treatment begins, the less risk of harm to the body.

The first signs of large-scale invasion are vomiting, excessive salivation and localized pain in the abdominal cavity.They are characteristic of infections with roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, diphtheria, trichocephalopathy, strongyloidiasis.In addition, helminths also cause morning nausea, uncontrollable hunger or, conversely, loss of appetite and unmotivated cravings for sweets.

Symptoms are often accompanied by abnormal stools (constipation alternating with diarrhea), bloating and flatulence.When infected with Giardia, severe diarrhea occurs.At least some of these symptoms are reasons to consult your doctor immediately because they may be signs of intestinal obstruction.

Another presenting feature of most worm infections is a skin rash similar to hives.Their appearance is associated with a reaction to the toxic waste of the worms.Based on the location of the rash, the doctor diagnoses - hookworm infection, schistosomiasis or other helminths.Lumps under the skin indicate pork tapeworm and roundworm infection.

Other signs of helminth damage to the body:

  • Roundworms, in addition to the above symptoms, can be suspected due to paroxysmal dry cough (like bronchitis), blurred vision, swollen lymph nodes;
  • Pinworms cause itching in the anus and external genitalia, worse at night;
  • signs of infection with schistosomiasis, lamblia, trematodes - weakness, chills, fever, bloody urine, liver pain;
  • Toxoplasmosis, pulmonary toxocariasis is manifested by impaired vision and speech;
  • Hookworm causes coughing, trichinella and echinococcus cause severe muscle pain, pork tapeworm causes loss of coordination, epilepsy, etc.

With large-scale or “advanced” infection, hair begins to fall out, and nails become brittle and layered.Children, due to lack of trace elements (they are absorbed by helminths) and poisoning with toxic products, will feel anxiety, cause tears for no reason, hyperactivity and inability to concentrate.

Damage to the body from worms is manifested by frequent colds, anemia, exacerbations of chronic diseases, prolonged headaches, a persistent feeling of fatigue and irritability.These symptoms are related to the suppression of the worm's immune defense function and, like the others, require a comprehensive diagnosis.

Diagnosis of helminths

Doctors use several methods to identify helminth infections.The main one is bacterioscopy, analysis of stool by scraping at the entrance to the anus.This is a simple and quick method but can only detect worms that have laid eggs near the anus.For example, males will not be detected by scraping, but in general, this is quite a useful way to detect intestinal disease.

Fecal microscopy is more effective: it detects Giardia cysts and eggs of other helminths (but not pinworms).To increase the accuracy of diagnosis, stool analysis performed three times, with an interval of one to three days, or the enrichment technique, used by some laboratories, will help.However, for common roundworms, even such analysis is ineffective.They colonize mainly the small intestine and are rarely found in stool.

Enzyme immunoassay in venous blood allows you to identify helminths by antibodies, thanks to which the body reacts to parasites.For each form of worm, a separate study must be conducted.The presence of active helminths is indicated by eosinophil levels three to four times higher than normal, and exposure to them is indicated by levels exceeding twice the threshold.Such tests detect extraintestinal helminths, but doctors must have a good reason to prescribe them.

Modern diagnostic methods are computer and bioresonance.It allows you to identify about 20 types of worms.Voll diagnostics and other methods are also used.However, we cannot talk about their 100% effectiveness.Therefore, the best solution is to focus on treatment and especially prevention of helminths.

Antiparasitic complex for the prevention and treatment of helminthiasis

It is impossible to protect yourself 100% from worms, and tests do not give a complete picture of what is happening.Therefore, in order not to encounter dangerous manifestations of infection and disease caused by helminths, it is necessary to undergo a course of treatment to remove their form from the body, compensate for the damage they cause and restore health.Many anti-parasitic drugs and complexes have been developed, which have the effect of eliminating and returning the body's functions to normal levels without the drug shock inherent in chemical drugs.

Products rich in natural bitters, antiseptics, micro and macro elements have a cumulative effect without causing side effects.Taking medication provides:

  • cleans more than 150 types of helminths;
  • restores immunity, normal intestinal microflora - worms will no longer be able to reproduce in it;
  • replenishes the supply of trace elements - their deficiency causes a large number of diseases, including malignant tumors and cirrhosis of the liver;
  • restores the normal function of all organs - manifestations of allergies, fungal diseases, candidiasis are reduced, health and the body's resistance to negative environmental factors improve.

For prevention, treatment must be carried out twice a year, taking all complex drugs twice a day, one pill.The standard duration of a course of antihelminthic drugs is at least one month.But the final dosing schedule should only be prescribed by a specialist.
